Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Ferdinand Piloty' after 'Fra Bartholomeo'. Ferdinand Piloty (1786-1844) was active in Munich. He worked together with Strixner making the "Oeuvres Lithographiques" with lithographs after drawings by famous masters. This very early project in lithography produced very fine specimens of the new technique. Fra Bartholomeo (1472-1517) was an Italian Renaissance artist.
