Description: Curious emblematic scene. Published by Pierre Landry (1630-1701) in Paris. Depiction of a boy sleeping on a cross and a skull guarded by an angel. Memento mori.

Artists and engravers:Made by an anonymous engraver after Francois Chauveau. Francois Chauveau (1613-1676) was a miniature painter and engraver mostly active in Paris as an etcher. He was a student of la Hire. He became a member of the Academie in 1663.
