Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jacob Houbraken ' after 'Jan Maurits Quinkhard'. Jakob Houbraken (1698-1780) was a very productive Dutch 18th. Century engraver, who produced a great number of book-illustrations in the taste of the time. He also engraved many portraits and some prints after contemporary masters. Jan Maurits Quinkhard (1688-1772) was an 18th century painter and print designer from the Northern Netherlands.
