Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Gillis van Scheyndel' after 'Willem Buytewech'. Gillis / Aegidius / Georg van Scheyndel / Scheijndel / Scheindel / Schendel (c. 1595-c. 1662) was a Dutch Golden Age etcher and designer. He worked in Amsterdam. His work is close akin to the prints of Jacques Callot and Jan van de Velde II. Willem Buytewech (ca. 1591-1624) originated from Rotterdam. He specialised in genre pieces and landscapes.

Condition: Fair, given age. Thread margins, black stains in lower part of print, two restord tears in lower left, surface damage. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
