Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jan van de Velde II' after own design. Jan van de Velde (1593-1641) came from the southern Netherlands as a fugitive around 1600 to the Netherlands. His father was a writingmaster and Jan trainend as an etcher. He produced many highly important series of landscape prints.

Condition: Very good, given age. Margins cropped to the image edge. Faint small stains. A small tear in the top margin (backed with paper and acid-free archival tape). General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
