Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jan van de Velde' after 'Isaac Isaacsz.'. Jan van de Velde (1593-1641) came from the southern Netherlands as a fugitive around 1600 to the Netherlands. His father was a writingmaster and Jan trainend as an etcher. He produced many highly important series of landscape prints. Isaac Isaacsz. (1599-1649) travelled extensively as an artist. He worked in Kopenhagen, rome etc.
