Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Maria Katharina Prestel' after 'Gerard Dou'. Maria Katharina Prestel (1747-1794) worked together with her husband Johann Gottlieb Prestel (1742-1808) on several collections of printdrawings. They reached a very high quality in their prints. Gerard Dou (1613-1675) was a famous pupil of Rembrandt.
