Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jean Francois Janinet' after 'Adriaen van Ostade'. Jean Francois Janinet (1752-1814) was a puoil of Bonnet. He produced very fine color prints. Born in Haarlem in 1610, Adriaen van Ostade trained with Frans Hals. He remained in this city for the rest of his life and died here in 1685. Very influential artist, who had pupils like Cornelis Bega, Cornelis Dusart and Jan Steen. His etched work consists of 50 prints, all with genre subject matter.

Condition: Fair, given age. No margins, text caption cropped, browning and a wormhole. Small chipping and some paper loss at paper edges. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
