Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Marinus van der Goes' after 'Cornelis Saftleven'. Marinus van der Goes (1599-1639) was a pupil of Vorsterman. He worked in Antwerp. Cornelis Saftleven (1607-1681) worked as a genre painter.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. Five singing children, one playing accompaniment on the friction drum (Rommelpot or Foekepot in Dutch), another playing with a spinning top and whip.
Condition: Fair, given age. No margins, damaged lower right corner. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
