Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Franciscus Kierforff' after 'Eugene Verboeckhoven'. Eugene Verboeckhoven (1799-1881) is considered to be one of Belgium's best romantic painters. He specialised in animal depiction. Franciscus Kierdorff (1777-1855) was German a German lithographer from Trier. He was a pupil and friend of Senefelder. He founded 2 lithography institues in Gendt (1828) and The Hague, where he worked with his 2 sons. He died in The Hague.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. Sheep, Tibethian goat and a Circassian goat shown in Brugge as a gift to William the first of Holland.
