Artists and Engravers: Made by Jan van Somer after Guido Reni. Jan van Somer (ca. 1645-1after 1699) was one of the early users of the mezzotint technique. Guido Reni (1575-1642) was active as a fresco painter in the end of the 16th. Century. He was held in great esteem for his art.
