Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Andreas Schotel' after own design. Andreas Schotel (1896-1984) was a Dutch graphic artist. He was a pupil of Antoon Derkzen van Angeren, and, like him, was an admirer of Hercules Seghers. Many of Schotel's etchings dealt with the laborers and farmers of Noord-Brabant. The subjects show the gradual transition from manual labor to mechincal processes.
