Description: Curious allegory against Pelagianism. State: Second state of 3. Reference: Montaiglon 259. Allegory against Pelagianism.

Artists and engravers:Made by Claude Mellan after own design. Claude Mellan (1598-1688) was a French painter, drafsman, etcher and engraver. He was active in Paris and later became court engraver. He invented a new way of use of the echoppe-etching needle . His prints show a high quality of lines.
