Description: From the "Bohn" edition printed in 1851 by Henry George Bohn in London. State: Second state of 2 Ref: BMS 6121 Sampson Wright.

Artists and Engravers: Made by 'James Gillray' after an anonymous artist. James Gillray (1757-1815) was one the most famous caricaturists in Britain. He made a large number of prints with caricatures and satires.

Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Sampson overcome by a Philistian.' - Judge Sampson Wright being accused of corruption and entrapment.

Condition: Good, given age. Ample margins, some dustsoiling and foxing. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
