Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Georg Gottfried Winckler' after own design. Georg Gottfried Winckler (1731-1795) was a Leipzig merchant and art collector. He worked in Augsburg. He mostly produced prints for the industry of optica prints.
Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Der Stolze Liebhaber. Les Glorieux.' - (The proud lover.) The lovers of vanity. Four opulently dressed noble figures in a large drawing-room (two men and two women).
Condition: Very good, given age. Ample margins. A small ink annotation in the lower right corner. Small stains and a faint crease in the margins. An old vertical fold from the middle top margin into the center of the image. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
