Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Pieter de Iode II' after 'Simon Vouet'. Petrus de Jode II (1596-1674) was a Flemish painter and engraver. He was the son and pupil of Pieter de Jode I (15701634). He married Justa Galle, the widow of Adriaen Collaert and the daughter of Philip Galle. He worked in Antwerp and later after working for van Dyck in England. Simon Vouet (1590-1649) was a French Baroque painter. He spent several years in Rome. He later worked in Paris. His designs were very popular.
