Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jacobus Houbraken' after 'Frans van Mieris'. Jakob Houbraken (1698-1780) was a very productive Dutch 18th. Century engraver, who produced a great number of book-illustrations in the taste of the time. He also engraved many portraits and some prints after contemporary masters. Frans van Mieris II (1689-1763) was part of the family of artists from Leiden. He was active as painter, historian and artdealer.

Condition: Very good, given age. No margins, faint waterstain upper left. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
