Aernout-Arent van Halen / called Aquila (1650-1723) was a Dutch multitalented artist: painter, draftsman, sculptor and mezzotint engraver. He is mostly known for his large collection of grisaille painted poets' portraits, the ''Panpoeticon Batavum'', containing 328 portraits.
