Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Francesco Bartolozzi' after 'Francesco Barbieri'. Francesco Bartolozzi (1727-1815) was an Italian engraver from Florence. He gained fame with his stipple engravings. He moved to London in 1764, where he was a founding member of the Royal Academy. Francesco Barbieri il Guercino (1591-1666) was one of the famous Baroque painters from Italy.
