Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Petrus de Jode' after own design. Petrus / Pieter de Jode I (1570-1634), was a Flemish Baroque painter and engraver. He learned drawing and engraving first from his father, the map maker Gerard de Jode, and later from Hendrik Goltzius. He was the teacher of his son Pieter de Jode II and others.
