Pieter van Woensel (Haarlem, 1747 The Hague, 1808) was a physician, adventurer, travel writer, ships doctor, political cartoonist and a colorful author under the pseudonym Amurath-Effendi, Hekim-Bachi in the satirical almanac de Lantaarn (the Lamp).
