Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Reinier van Persijn' after 'Joachim Sandrart'. Reinier van Persijn (Dutch; ca. 1614-1688) originated from Alkmaar. He was a pupil of Cornelis Bloemaert and Theodoor Matham. After a trip to Italy Persijn settled in Gouda. Joachim Sandrart (German; 1606-1688) originated from Frankfurt am Main. This painter, printmaker and author. He travelled to the Netherlands, Rome and England, before settling in Ingolstadt.
