Artists and Engravers: Made by 'The Doetecum Brothers' after 'Hans Vredeman de Vries'. The Van Doetecum Brothers were active in Antwerp and later in the Northern Netherlands in the second half of the 16th. Century. Johannes van Doetecum jr. (c. 1570-1630). Hans Vredeman de Vries (1537-1609) was active as artist and architect. His designs were very popular for a long time.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. Large circular fountain. In the center a figure holding the severed head of the corpse at his feet.
Condition: Fair, given age. Ample margins. A faint dampstain in the lower margin. Some small stains in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
