Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Michiel Le Blon' after own design. Michiel Le Blon (1587-1656) originated from Frankfurt. He was a pupil of J. Th. and Th. de Bry. Le Blon travelled and was alo active as a diplomat.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. A heraldic coat of arms with a two fields: a bird and three roses. Above that a helmet on which an eagle pierces its own chest to feed it's young.
Condition: Fair, given age. No margins, with loss of ca. 50 mm. at the lower margin. Left and far right edges soiled. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
