Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Raffaello Morghen' after 'Raphael'. Raffaello Sanzio Morghen (Naples 1758-Florence 1833) was an Italian engraver. He was born in a family of German engravers, and initially trained by his father. He was apprenticed to Giovanni Volpato to further his training. He engraved portraits of Dante, Petrarch, Leonardo and Ariosto, as well as various mythological and biblical themes.
