Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Adriaen Collaert' after 'Hans Bol'. Adriaen Collaert (ca.1560–1618) was a Flemish designer and engraver. He was the son of Jan Collaert I and Anna van der Heijden. He married Justa Galle, the daughter of the man he worked for, Philip Galle. Adriaen Collaert was the brother of Jan Collaert I Hans Bol (Mechelen 1534-Amsterdam 1593) was a Flemish painter in the Northern Mannerist style. His early training was taken with his uncles who were also painters. He was then apprenticed to a watercolorist and tempera painter. Bol created numerous watercolours, as well as miniatures on vellum of his paintings (as his works were so often reproduced).

Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'Vitiferum dominus collem elocat; ergo fideles' - The month October with Christ and disciples at left bottom overlooking a landscape with village, castle ruin and laborers harvesting grapes.

Condition: Very good, given age. No margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
