Description: Early impressions are very rare. Apparently Everdingen did not make many impressions from his plates. Most of the impressions found, date from an edition printed around 1796.. State: I (4). Ref: Hollstein 69.
Artists and Engravers: Made by A. van Everdingen after own design. Allart van Everdingen (1621-1675) was active as a painter in Amsterdam. He traveled to Norway to make paintings of the landscape for the Trip family, who had gunfoundries there. After this trip, most of his landscapes have a Norwegian theme.

Condition: very good, no margins. Very early impression with platetone! From the collections of W. T. Bree (Lugt 2630) and Arthur Wildau (Lugt 2576b) General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
