Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Jan van de Velde ' after own design. Jan van de Velde (1593-1641) came from the southern Netherlands as a fugitive around 1600 to the Netherlands. His father was a writingmaster and trained Jan as an etcher. He produced many highly important series of landscape prints.
Subject: Antique Master Print, untitled. Landscape with travellers at the entrance to a village with two large trees.
Condition: Very good, given age. No margins, loosely attached to carrier sheet. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
