Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Egidius Linnig' after 'Hendrik Meijer'. Egidius Linnig (Belgian; 1777-1860) was a pupil of Van Bree and Van Gingelen. He visited the Netherlands to study the old masters and later specialised in marine scenery. Hendrik Meijer (Dutch; 1744-1793) worked as a landscape painter. He was acive in Haarlem and London.
