Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Nicolas-Toussaint Charlet ' after 'Nicolas-Toussaint Charlet'. Nicolas-Toussaint Charlet (French; 1792-1842) was a supporter of Napoleon Bonaparte. He chose his subjectmatter based on this preference. Many prints of soldiers were made by him in the new medium of lithography. Lasteyrie is considered to be amongst the first publishers of lithography.
