Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Louis Lecoeur' after 'Jacques Francois Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines '. Louis Lecoeur (active 1784-1825) was a pupil of Debucourt. He specialised in colorprints. Jacques Francois Joseph Swebach-Desfontaines (1769-1823) specialised in battle scenes. He was also active as a decorator in the porcelain-manufacture.
Subject: Antique Master Print, titled: 'La vieillesse d'Annette et Lubin' - Annette and Lubin in their old age with children and grandchildren. Despite the folding, a very good example of a colorprint printed with multiple plates.
Condition: Fair, given age. Ample margins, heavy folding from old framing. Some browning. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
