Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Coryn Boel' after 'David Teniers'. Quirin/Coryn Boel (1620-1668) was a Belgian engraver and etcher. He was the son of Jan Boel, and a contemporary of David Teniers. He made engravings after numerous famous painters, such as Fetti, Michelangelo, Titian, Schiavone, etc. David Teniers the Younger (1610-1690) was a Flemish artist, born in Antwerp. He was the son of David Teniers the Elder, while his son and grandson also became painters. He was a wildly prolific painter, creating over 900 works. During his life he started the Antwerp Royal Academy of Fine Arts, after having presided over the Antwerp guild of painters.
