Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Pieter Nolpe' after 'Pieter Quast'. Pieter Nolpe (ca. 1613-ca. 1653) was active in Amsterdam as printmaker/publisher. He often worked from his own designs, based on historical subjects, portraits, landscapes and perspectives. Despite his large output of prints little is known about him. Pieter Jansz. Quast (1606-ca. 1647) was active as painter and etcher in the Hague. He specialised in genre scenes.

Condition: Very good, given age. Small margins, on heavy laid paper. Minimally stained in the bottom edge. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
