Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Marie Catherine Prestel' after 'Adriaen van de Venne'. Marie Catherine Prestel (1747-1794) was active in Frankfurt. She made a series of very good prints in imitation of drawings. Adriaen Pietersz van de Venne (1589-1662), was a reknown Dutch painter of allegories, genre subjects and portraits, as well as a miniaturist and designer of political satires, book illustrations and a versifier.
