Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Abraham Blooteling' after 'Jacob Toornvliet'. Abraham Blooteling (1640-1690) was active as etcher and mezzotint engraver. He worked in London for a while and was one of the important promotors of the mezzotint in England. Jacob Toorenvliet / Toornvliet (1640-1719) was active as a genre painter in Leiden. He is considered to be part of the Leiden school of painters.

Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins. Margins a little discoloured from previous matting. Remains of attachment to matting to the rear. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
