Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Paulus Pontius' after 'Franciscus de Nys'. Paulus Pontius / Paul Ponce / du Pont (1603-1658) was a Flemish engraver from Antwerp and a pupil of Osias Beet and L. Vorsterman. He worked for Rubens from 1624-1631. He is considered one of the finest Flemish engravers. Franciscus de Nys remains undescribed.
